I was going through the Technorati API to find the rank of the blog using PHP. Those who doesn’t know about Technorati, Technorati is known as the authority for tracking, indexing and ranking the blog sytems. You need to get the developer API  key from Technorati and use their Web Services to get the ranking of a blog. But, those who are not registered to the Technorati,... (more)

TypeMOQ API I was fiddling around with the typemock API, see what it would belike to use it in a more MOQ like manner: to support this, all the code you need, including the Faker class exists here. you’d need to reference the typemock dll and the typemock c# API dll to make it work. I’m not sure I’m crazy about it, but it is shorter. I’m not sure it’s as readable (more)

This is the tenth in a series of blog posts I’m doing on the upcoming VS 2010 and .NET 4 release. In today’s blog post I’m going to cover a small but really nice improvement to code intellisense with VS 2010 – which is its ability to better filter type and member code completion.  This enables you to more easily find and use APIs when writing code.Code Intellisense with VS 2008 To help illustrate this intellisense improvements coming with VS 2010, let’s start by doing a simple scenario in VS 2008 whe... I updated my SilverTwit code for my June 2009 Data Points column in MSDN Magazine to use the release version of Silverlight 3. The revised code can be retrieved in the codeplex site here. There were 3 sets of changes: (1) Twitter started using larger numbers for Ids, so I had to switch to use long instead of int and (2) the API for Out of Browser applications changed from beta to release and (3) the Out of Browser settings (formerly in the AppManifest.xml) changed. InfoQ: RESTful HTTP in practice

Figure 2: Examples of addressing resources URIs can also be used by resources to establish relationships between resource representations. For instance a Hotelrepresentation will refer the assigned Room resources by using a URI, not by using a plain Room id. Using a plain id would force the caller to construct a URI by accessing the resource. The caller would not be able to access the resource without additional context knowledge such as the host name or the base URI path. Hyperlinks are used by client... (more)
